Is it possible for headphones to indent your skull...

I dunno if I should be posting this here. I've had my Ultrasone HFI-780 just about a year now (give or take a week or two), thanks to this site recommending to me, and just recently have noticed that my skull has like an 'indent', probably where the suture is. Only noticed a while ago - maybe 1-3 months ago - and thought I've always had it.

Just today I realized that the top 'band' part of my headphones was placed perfectly into this 'indent'.

I use my headphones quite a lot, have it on for extended periods and I was thinking maybe people at this forum do so as well. I don't think my headphones were ever placed on too tight. Is it possible that after using it for so long this happened? My parents can't remember if I've always had it and its not noticeable in any pictures past or present. I'm sort of worried.

no, more likely that this is kind of naturally where you placed it, because it fit there, rather than headphones changing your skull in a year.

I have heard that for first time happening to any one, I hope this might not be the case. I mean can any head phone be so hard to do this to one's skull :O

mmm, that makes a lot of sense actually. I'm still gonna position it away from there for a while or ever.

The skull is bone so it is extremely unlikely that any pressure that didn't maim or kill would deform it

Yes, headphones can dent your skull. Of course they need to be shot from a cannon.

Denting the skull would be impossible, denting the flesh around the skull however...
I don't mean to be insulting, but how 'fat' is your head...I mean how thick is the flesh that covers your skull?
The skin that covers my skull isn't very thick or meaty, so it isn't likely to 'dent', but I can imagine having more soft flesh around the skull makes it easier to dent???

I think it may be possible if you were to wear your headphones almost all the time, and are young with a still growing head. However, with headphones I find it highly unlikely. I have little indentations from my glasses where the highest pressure is. I have also worn them from 3rd grade on on a daily basis. Also, there are those native people in South America who have their babies on their back against a hard board which ends up making the back of their head flat.

You'd have to be an infant for anything to deform your bones, even then it would most likely cause irreparable damage. And if you indented your skull you'd most likely put pressure on your brain which you would most definitely feel.

If you're a baby yes, because baby skulls are soft and its takes sometime for them to harden.

Not true they have measured the intelligence of the native tribe in S. America, and no noticeable deficiencies were noted. Also, pressure cannot be felt by the brain itself. Only the outermost layer of skin surrounding the brain (dura mater) can cause very bad headaches when the pressure within the skull becomes too high causing the dura mater to rip from the inside of the skull. Also, even after infancy (until the largest growth phases are over) you can hinder bones from growing the exact way they are supposed to by placing constraints on them (e.g. foot binding).

Back on topic..with headphones not really possible unless through some freak experiment

No, that is absolutely impossible.
Your skull is a bone, and its impossible that a bone would get deformed by wearing a headphone.
You do ofcourse have these lines in your skull called fontanels but those have hardened already at your age which makes it impossible to deform the overall skull.
It has probably been there forever, or, even a more logical explanation, it was caused by your growth (I dont know how old you are but taken the fact that you live with your parents I asume you are still growing ;P) and not because of your headphones.

You probably place the headband there because its the most comfortable for you, that just happens automaticly.
I'd say that you wouldnt have to worry
